Establish Yourself as an Expert!

  Yep. You heard me right.  Establish yourself as an expert in your niche. Use your expertise to teach your audience something new . Turn your social media accounts into a source of information where people will turn when they have questions. By sharing valuable content first you can charge for the details later. No one wants to feel like they have to pay you first in order to see if you're legit or the right fit for them.  Be authentic . Your audience wants to connect with YOU , so let them! Don't try to create an online persona. Speak in your true voice without hesitation. Don't get caught up in the " what if people don't like me " mindset. You may not be for everyone, but you're certainly for someone(s). So just be you. Connect and build relationships, as yourself.

Engagement

So you scheduled your post to Instagram or Facebook, now you're done. Right ? Wrong . Now you need to engage . As your audience comments on your post, you need to respond and acknowledge them! This is how you build relationships with your audience . By relating to them. By interacting with them. ⁣ Consumers do business with companies that they trust . Small business owners need to be transparent and accessible to build that relationship and trustworthiness with their audience.  Engaging on your social media posts also helps you get seen. The more activity that a post gets (comments moreso than likes) the more likely FB or IG will be to push it to the top of your audience's timelines.  Engaging goes further than just replies and liking posts. If you see that you have a new follower, s lide into their DMs ! Thank them for visiting your profile and strike up a conversation. Same with if you see someone commenting or reacting to your posts.
